Refuse Collection.
Collection Day is each Tuesday
(Or Wednesday when the Monday is a bank holiday)
~7am: Food waste
Please place this in compostable bags, then in the black rectangular food-waste bins you’ll find in the bin area
~9am: Recyclables
Please place these in clear bags (including cardboard boxes, which must be broken down, other than those too large to fit in a bag)
~2pm: Non-recyclables, non-food waste (including disposable nappies)
Place in heavy duty, normally black, bags (not carrier bags)
Within the bin store of each house is kept:
for each flat, an individual bin for storage of full bags of Non-recyclables between collections
for each house, communal Recycling bins plus a black food-waste bin for storage of fully compostable bags of food waste between collections
The highly efficient Trevor brings all the bags up from the bin areas to the pavements before 7am each Tuesday. Therefore residents should place bags into the bins in the bin stores before collection day, ensuring that lids are secured so that foxes don’t start exploring the contents.
Bulky waste removal can be booked via the Royal Borough of Greenwich website - charged per item. Kitchen caddies and clear bags for recycling are available from the RBG via the website:
